SHOWING IN THE UK
One of the main reasons we have our cats is down to our hobby of showing them. Its a great hobby to have and sometimes I go on my own or we go as a family. To show a cat they need to be of a good disposition, of good quality and standard. If our cats go to a show and get stressed or upset, they wouldn't show well and also wouldn't enjoy it. Showing either longhairs or shorthairs requires an amount of show preparation. whether it be bathing, brushing, ear cleaning, or general grooming and nail clipping. you have to be able to do this to get your cat to a show.
There are 3 governing bodies who run shows in the UK, GCCF is the one most have heard of and is limited to the UK, the other two are international and are FIFe and TICA. FIFe have a uk version known as Felis Britannica. We show mainly with FIFe although recently we have been to a few TiCA shows.
